Poet-Athletes Kick Off Spring with Jamboree & BLAST

Being part of the SCORES program means getting to tie up your laces and get out onto the field to play games against neighborhood schools. This season our teams play  6 soccer games at local fields and recreation centers. They put into practice the teamwork and leadership skills they have been learning all season. Each game ends with a huddle where coaches and referees award teamwork and leadership patches to celebrate our Poet-Athlete’s hard work during the game.

Each year we wrap up our spring season with two events, Jamboree and BLAST. During BLAST our Middle School Poet-Athletes took part in tournament styles games at Michael Zone Rec Center. Poet-Athletes played games against other teams, had pizza, and went home with a SCORES t-shirt.

Jambore this year was amazing! We had 18 Core teams and 13 junior teams come together at Brookside reservation for an afternoon of food, soccer games, and giveaways. It was a fantastic way to end a fun SCORES year!
