Volunteer Your Time
Share Your Time, Inspire Cleveland Youth
At Cleveland SCORES, volunteers make our mission possible. Whether you’re a soccer enthusiast, creative writer, educator, or community supporter, your time and talents help our students build confidence, leadership, and teamwork through poetry, soccer, and service.
We’re always looking for passionate individuals looking to make a difference. From after-school support to event-day energy, there’s a place for everyone on our team.

Ways to Get Involved
There are so many ways that you can make a deep, lasting impact with our youth—out on the field, in the classroom, and throughout our local communities. Join us in helping Cleveland students write, play, and achieve—one poem, one goal, and one community at a time.

Assistant Coach
Support a soccer or writing coach on the field or in the classroom as often as your schedule allows—once a week or a few times a season. Our programming runs after school (typically 2:30–5:00 p.m.) across various Cleveland schools.

Soccer Referee
Officiate fall and spring soccer games any Thursday (September through May) from 3:00–6:00 p.m. across Cleveland. Referee training is available for all new volunteers.

Special Events Volunteer
Lend a hand at one of our signature events, including Fall Frenzy, Poetry SLAM!, Jamboree, Inspired Art, and other community or fundraising activities.

Equipment Drive Coordinator
Help organize a donation drive for gently used soccer gear, school supplies, or creative materials that help support our students.

Photography/Videography Support
Skilled with a camera? Support our programs and events with pro bono photography and videography. Opportunities exist throughout the school year and summer months.

Office Support
Assist our SCORES office team with mailings, tech support, data entry, or web updates.

Guest Speaker or Poet
Inspire our Poet-Athletes by sharing your story or creative journey as a guest speaker during one of our upcoming programs or special events.

Volunteer Your Resources
Offer in-kind support such as healthy snacks, school supplies, printing, event hosting, or grant-writing expertise.
